Lengthsman Vacancy

Weston Parish Council is seeking a practical, community-minded individual to take on the role of Lengthsman, helping to maintain the appearance and upkeep of the parish.

This is a flexible role that would suit someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work and takes pride in supporting their local community.

What’s Involved:

• Keeping footpaths clear and safe

• Maintaining grassed areas and village verges

• Trimming hedges and vegetation where required

• Reporting issues and suggesting further repairs where needed

• Supporting minor maintenance work around the parish

• Helping to keep the village tidy, safe and welcoming

Approximately 80 hours per year, paid at £12.50 per hour.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is practical, reliable and able to work independently

• Enjoys outdoor, hands-on work

• Takes pride in keeping the local area well maintained

• Is community-minded and dependable

• Takes pride in keeping a village looking its best
