Local Councils and Services.

Nottinghamshire County Council is responsible for services across the whole county, including education, transport, planning, fire and public safety, social care, libraries, waste management and trading standards. Telephone  0300 500 8080

Public Transport

Marshalls of Sutton on Trent operate the local bus service which is a fully super low floor, wheelchair accessible service, running hourly 6 days a week from Newark bus station to Retford bus station, via Tuxford.

The Workers’ Educational Association: Founded in 1903, the Workers' Educational Association (WEA) is a charity and the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education. In 2013/14 they delivered 9,700 part-time courses for over 70,000 students in England and Scotland with classes in almost every local authority area and our work in England was assessed in 2014 as ‘Good’ by Ofsted. 

Learnyay helps adults find free education courses and training. By connecting them with ESFA and local authority funded colleges, schools and training providers in their area.
